Vote for East Providence Landmarks in
2012 Best of the Road Contest sponsored by Rand McNally and USA Today!
The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce is promoting Rand McNally's 2012 Best of the Road contest.
The contest is an opportunity for residents and businesses to promote their favorite places in the U.S.
Individuals can make nominations and vote once a day until May 15, 2012.
This year, the East Providence Area Chamber is promoting Crescent Park Carousel and Pomham Rocks Lighthouse
as "Best Landmark." However, nominations and votes for other categories are encouraged, too. Residents and friends
are invited to place their votes and nominations on this Web site: http://www.bestoftheroad.com/places.do?state=RI&sort=MostRecent
Every year Rand McNally and USA TODAY collect votes for the small towns the public thinks they should visit.
They then send amateur travelers across the country exploring the Best Small Towns in America naming the
Most Beautiful, Most Patriotic, Friendliest, Most Fun, and Best Small Town for Food with blogs, photos, reviews
and videos to take readers on the journey from wherever they are.

Rhode Island Small Business Recovery Program
The East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce is a proud partner in this initiative.
Recognizing that Rhode Island has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and that our

created the Rhode Island Small Business Recovery Program.
This comprehensive, zero-cost business
training program is designed to move Rhode Islanders from unemployment to self-employment and increase
the probability of success for existing businesses.
